Miles Smith Farm

Miles Smith Farm is a 36 acre farm in Loudon, New Hampshire. The 36 acres combines part of a farm owned by Miles Smith in the 1850's and two neighboring farms. Most of the land is pasture. The cattle we raise are naturally raised "free range" and graze on the farm's and leased pastures. Miles Smith Farm currently leases about 150 acres from land owners around the state. All of our cattle are raised in the state of New Hampshire, so our meat is truely "home grown".

We have three beef product lines:

  • Grain Finished Angus: tender and juicy.
  • Grass Finished Angus: healthier and tasty.
  • Grass Finished Scottish Highlander: healthy, less greasy and robust flavor.

We've Got It All

According to Wikipedia, "A farmers' market (also farmers market) is a physical retail market featuring foods sold directly by farmers to consumers. Farmers' markets typically consist of booths, tables or stands, outdoors or indoors, where farmers sell fruits, vegetables, meats, and sometimes prepared foods and beverages. Farmers' markets exist worldwide and reflect their local culture and economy." We won't argue with any of that - the Concord Winter Farmers' Market truly captures the local spirit by showcasing the best that New Hampshire farmers and food artisans have to offer. Come check us out this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Curl Up With a Book And...

Whether you're trying to catch up on that great novel you received for Christmas, or have a stack of cookbooks waiting for your attention, we are big advocates of curling up with a steaming cup of your favorite beverage and a tray of wholesome goodies. The Winter Farmers' Market features several vendors who can fill your warm, toasty beverage needs, and a wide range of delicious snacks. And they have all been carefully prepared locally by dedicated growers and artisans.

A New Holiday?

We're always on the lookout for food-related events to tie into the Winter Farmers' Market, and we have a new one for you. Today is St David's Day, the patron saint of the Welsh. Even if you don't hale from Wales, you might want to try Welsh Rarebit - "posh cheese on toast." Or perhaps revisit the humble shepherd's pie. This dish is very traditional, but can be re-imagined in so many ways; and you can't beat its comfort food value on these chilly winter days. Visit our vendors for the best in locally-raised meats, dairy, and produce; and as always, we encourage you to talk to them about their goods!

Make Valentine's Day Special

Next Friday is Valentine's Day, so consider yourself reminded! Shop the market for all the great ingredients to make a memorable meal with your special someone. Nothing can be more fun than cooking with family, so take advantage of the holiday and plan a menu together featuring top-quality, locally-raised foods that you can share in preparing. Finish out the evening with scrumptious desserts and snacks from our local bakers and artisans. The market has everything you need to make not only a delicious meal, but a memorable one as well!

Check Us Out

When is the last time you could point to items in your pantry and say, this food came from within 30 miles of my home? If you're a regular shopper at the Winter Farmers' Market, chances are pretty good that you can make that statement. If you haven't visited us yet, now is a great time to check out what producers right here in New Hampshire have to offer. These hard-working farmers and artisans are busy year-round to bring you vegetables and fruit, locally-raised meats, dairy, baked goods, and even personal care items. We especially invite you first-timers to come see what all the fuss is about!

It's Super Bowl Weekend!

Are you ready for some football?! The Super Bowl has become an unofficial food holiday, inspiring folks to arrange mounds of snack foods into the shape of a stadium. Create a football field out of guacamole if you must, but kick it up a notch and add some pastured-raised beef to those nachos! Spice up your dips with chutney and sauces made right here in New Hampshire. That tower of sandwiches will taste better when the bread is hearty, fresh, and local! And when it comes to dessert trays, we have you covered with all sorts of delectable treats. Visit us on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
