It's Super Bowl Weekend!

Are you ready for some football?! The Super Bowl has become an unofficial food holiday, inspiring folks to arrange mounds of snack foods into the shape of a stadium. Create a football field out of guacamole if you must, but kick it up a notch and add some pastured-raised beef to those nachos! Spice up your dips with chutney and sauces made right here in New Hampshire. That tower of sandwiches will taste better when the bread is hearty, fresh, and local! And when it comes to dessert trays, we have you covered with all sorts of delectable treats. Visit us on Saturday from 10 a.m.

Juice It!

You asked for a turbo-powered blender for Christmas and it's still in the box. The perfect tool to keep your New Year resolution of healthier eating on track, it's a little intimidating because you're not sure what to put in it. Fear not! Just bring your shopping bag to the Winter Farmers' Market and load it up with a variety of fresh greens, vegetables, fruit, and honey. Experiment with different flavor profiles - try something sweeter for breakfast and more savory for lunch. You'll feel super healthy, and even better knowing that your food was grown right here in New Hampshire!

Resolve to Eat Healthy in 2015

Ask ten people what healthy eating means to them, and you'll likely get ten different answers. But they may agree on a few simple things, such as avoiding fat, sugar, and processed foods. Farmers' markets are an excellent way to get on the path to healthier eating, by offering a variety of vegetables and fruits, pasture-raised meat, and minimally-processed meals. And by buying local, you know that the food you're eating comes from trusted sources a short drive away. Visit us from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cole Gardens in Concord and get on track in 2014.

Merry Christmas from the Market!

From our vendors and the staff at Cole Gardens, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas! The market is indeed open today, so come out and stock up on fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheese, and even frozen items to keep on hand during the busy holiday week. There's no market next week, so we'll see you in January!

Impress Your Guests

This week, why not pick up some cheese, chutney, nuts, and pastries? Having a few simple items on hand when guests drop by for a cup of holiday cheer will keep you sane. And you'll impress your guests with the delicious, high-quality food prepared by New Hampshire artisans.

Be Ready for the Holidays

It's that time of year... you've been invited to a holiday party and need a hostess gift. Why not plan ahead and create a memorable gift basket (or two!) filled with locally-made goodies? Chocolate, nuts, fruit, gourmet coffee, cheeses, and even hand lotions are but a sampling of the delicious and unique options at this week's market.

One stop for Thanksgiving fixings

Thanksgiving is this coming  week -- do you have all your vegetables, rolls, desserts, and wine? The market is packed with great choices for holiday meals, including the fixings for stuffing to homemade apple pie.

Eat Local and Support Local Farms

Brrrr! It's getting cold out there: it's perfect weather to make your favorite stews, soups, and sweet and savory pies. Our farmers have everything you need to create a memorable meal, and you'll feel great knowing you supported local agriculture. That's what we call a two-fer!

Second Market, let's keep the ball rolling and join us again.

Did you visit us on opening day last week? Now that you've seen what the market has to offer, come spend the day with us and get to know the farmers, bakers, and artisans who hand-craft specialty foods right here in New Hampshire. Make your shopping list and stock your pantry with amazing New Hampshire-grown food!
