Breakwind Farm

Breakwind Farm is family run business. We started selling organic vegetables, herbs, seasonal flowers and baskets, pumpkins and wreaths at a stand outside our house in 2009 and more recently at the Contoocook Farmers Market. We have enjoyed welcoming our new and returning customers each year. We concocted the idea of Breakwind Farm's four varieties of FARTOOTEMPTING Organic Baked Beans in the spring of 2011 and started selling them at the Farmers Market where they quickly became a hit.
It wasn't long before our beans were being requested at local fairs, festivals and other venues. We added FARTOOTEMPTING Breakwind Bean t-shirts to our product line by the end of the summer and they too have become a hit. We have four mouth-watering flavors of organic baked beans, each offering a unique taste, all guaranteed organic, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and delicious! http://www.breakwindfarm.com/

Resolve to Eat Healthy in 2016

Ask ten people what healthy eating means to them, and you'll likely get ten different answers. But they may agree on a few simple things, such as avoiding fat, sugar, and processed foods. Farmers' markets are an excellent way to get on the path to healthier eating, by offering a variety of vegetables and fruits, pasture-raised meat, and minimally-processed meals. And by buying local, you know that the food you're eating comes from trusted sources a short drive away. Visit us from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Juice it Baby!

You asked for a turbo-powered blender for Christmas and it's still in the box. The perfect tool to keep your New Year resolution of healthier eating on track, it's a little intimidating because you're not sure what to put in it. Fear not! Just bring your shopping bag to the Winter Farmers' Market and load it up with a variety of fresh greens, vegetables, fruit, and honey. Experiment with different flavor profiles - try something sweeter for breakfast and more savory for lunch.

Impress your guests

This week, why not pick up some cheese, coffee, chocolate and pastries?  Having a few simple items on hand when guests drop by for a cup of holiday cheer will keep you sane.  And you'll impress your guests with the delicious, high-qulity food prepared by New Hampshire artisans.

First Market of the 2015-2016 Season!

We're looking forward to welcoming back our regular customers to the start of another Farmers' Market Season!  We will have 26 vendors on hand for our first market.  Of course there will be many familiar vendors from past years, but also some new vendors that will keep you wanting more!

Our Final Market Day of the Season

It has been another  banner year at the Winter Farmers' Market! We've been excited to see larger and larger attendance each week as people discover the wonderful array of fresh and local goods offered, as well as the convenience and beauty of our location. Our vendors represent the small farms and food artisans of New Hampshire who are proud to provide sustainably-raised, high-quality, and healthful products. As we end the winter market season, we thank you for your support, and invite you to continue buying local at the summer market on Capitol Street in Concord.
